And, yes, they ALL abandoned their own ethics and professional guidelines that existed pre-2020. Didn't just stray a little past, they blew right through the guardrails at 200 kmh.

Are you familiar with this Nuffield Council on Bioethics publication from November, 2007? It discusses pandemic ethics at great length. It portrays itself as a serious discussion about ethics of health and medical interventions, a "Stewardship Model" offered as a 'middle ground' between individual rights, freedom and collective public safety impositions, coercion, force. But a close read reveals that it always lands on the collectivist side of the ledger. The 'middle ground' claimed has enough caveats and carve-outs to allow for the abuses of the pandemic and since, as long as they assert the utilitarian 'greater good' demands it. It's deceptive. It's 225 pages of self-serving masturbatory material for collectivist authoritarians.

I am curious about your reference to Nuffield Bioethics in your piece, as well as Wellcome Bioethics. You'll find in the document that The Nuffield Council on Bioethics is funded jointly by the Medical Research Council, the Nuffield Foundation and the Wellcome Trust. Does Wellcome still fund Nuffield? Or did it break apart from it when it established its own bioethics council?
